Heads-up! If you're buying a phone with a SIM card it won’t work outside of our 4G HSPA+ coverage area.

Learn more about coverage in Manitoba.

Our awesome network covers 98% of Canadians, with the majority zipping along at ridiculously fast LTE network speeds. Check out how we've got you covered with our coverage map.

Plus, you’ll have access to voice and text in over 200 countries with a SIM card.

Check out our CDMA coverage.

Good to know:

  • Coverage is approximate and actual coverage may vary. Theoretical peak speeds vary by region. Reception and expected speeds also vary based on topography, environmental conditions, device type and other factors.
  • You will notice slower HSPA speeds of up to 1.5 Mbps in the following communities in the North: Arviat, Baker Lake, Cambridge Bay, Gameti, Iqaluit, Lutselk'e, Nahanni Butt, Paulatuk Rankin Inlet, Sachs Harbour and Ulukhaktok.

Extended coverage is available to Virgin Mobile Members with compatible phones for limited and occasional use. Usage within extended coverage is billed as part of your current plan. Just like travelling outside your local area on the Virgin Mobile network, long distance charges apply to incoming calls received while within extended coverage. For outgoing calls, long distance applies if the number called is outside the local calling area of where the call is placed. Long distance charges do not apply if your rate plan or bundle includes Canada-Wide calling. Data speeds will be slower and certain services are not available or limited, including Mobile TV and other video applications.

Usage is subject to Virgin Mobile’s Responsible Use Policy restrictions; see virginmobile.ca/responsibleuse. Other conditions apply. For important details see virginmobile.ca/extendedcoverage.

  • *Available in select areas, on select phone with select plans.

Network

Everything you do using a Virgin Mobile LTE-ready phone or tablet on the LTE network – like running apps, watching videos, and downloading files - will be faster, better and more awesome.

And, if you have an LTE Advanced-ready phone, you’ll be hittin’ peak download speeds of up to 335 Mbps (expected average: 12-60 Mbps).

LTE Advanced Network

Good to know:

  • Download speeds on the LTE network currently peak at 75 Mbps in some areas (expected average: 12‑25 Mbps) and up to 110 Mbps (expected average: 12‑36 Mbps) and 150 Mbps (expected average: 12‑40 Mbps) in others.
  • The LTE Advanced network will hit theoretical peak download speeds of up to 335 Mbps (expected average: 12‑60 Mbps) on next gen “CAT 6” phones like the Samsung Galaxy Note Edge, Galaxy S6 Edge, Galaxy S6 and HTC One M9.

LTE Advanced is already up and running (racing, actually) in many cities and will be rolling out in other parts of Canada super-soon.

  • Coverage is approximate and actual coverage may vary. Reception and expected speeds also vary based on topography, environmental conditions, device type and other factors.
