We’re always on the lookout to make sure you’re getting the most out of your phone. To make sure your phone is the best it can be, we want to hook you up with a new SIM card for free!

You can head to any Virgin Mobile Store and one of our expert Reps can do your SIM card replacement for you. All you need to do is show up with your phone! Click here for a list of Virgin Mobile Store locations. The installation should only take a few minutes and our store reps will take care of everything for you.

If you don’t want to head to a store, then you’ll need to switch out the SIM card yourself. We’d be happy to send your replacement SIM card in the mail. Please click here and give us your deets by filling out our online form. We’ll send instructions on how to install your new SIM card in the mail along with your replacement SIM card. Below are the easy step-by-step instructions for you to replace your card on your own.

1. Before you replace your SIM card

  • If you have any contact info stored on your SIM card, it’s a good idea to back up the contacts to your phone’s memory. Do this before replacing the card.
  • For instructions on backing up your contacts from your SIM card, check out your phone’s user guide. You can go online and download the user guide for your phone at virginmobile.ca/userguides

2. replacING your SIM card

  • Be sure to power off your phone before removing your old SIM card. The SIM card is usually right beside or behind the battery. If you can’t find it, check out your phone’s user guide. Once removed you can insert the new SIM card into your phone. Make sure to write down the 20-digit Serial Number (UICC) from your new SIM card before you insert it into your phone. After you’ve popped in your new SIM card you can turn your phone back on.

3. ACTIVATING your NEW SIM card

  • If you head to a Virgin Mobile Store we can activate your SIM card right on the spot. If you’re not at one of our stores, you’ll need to call 1.877.745.7728 and we’ll transfer your phone number to the new SIM card. When you call we’ll need the 20-digit Serial Number (UICC) which we asked you to write down. It’s the super long one on the back of your SIM card, so please have it handy.
