Virgin Mobile Extended Warranty Plus Program

The Virgin Mobile Extended Warranty Plus Program provides an additional 12 months of warranty for eligible Members on their existing phones, at no additional charge.

The scope of Extended Warranty Plus is equivalent, but not limited to the original manufacturer warranty. The extended warranty period will begin when the text message notification is received and will automatically be added to select Members' accounts.

What are the benefits of the Virgin Mobile Extended Warranty Plus Program?

  • Support for eligible Members' current phone for an additional year
  • If a repair is needed during this period, it is covered free of charge. Refer to Terms and Conditions section for eligibility requirements
  • Eligible Members require no action to enroll in the program and can keep their current monthly plan

How are repairs covered under Extended Warranty Plus Program completed?

If a phone repair is needed while on the program, pop by a participating Virgin Mobile store to chat to one of our experts and complete the repair.

Before going in for a repair, check out these tips:

  • Update your phone to the latest software
  • Back up your phone to avoid accidental data loss. For instructions on how to do this, check out our device support section, select your phone and follow the step-by-step tutorial
  • Have all of your account IDs (Apple, Google, Samsung, etc.) and passwords handy¬†
  • The account holder (or authorized Member) must be present when requesting the repair

What are the eligibility requirements for this program?

To be eligible for the program you must:

  • Have purchased your phone from Virgin Mobile and must be on an active Virgin Mobile account
  • Have a phone in good physical condition (e.g. no cracked screen or damaged frame) and no liquid damage
  • Have been automatically enrolled by Virgin Mobile into the program

Virgin Mobile Extended Warranty Plus Program

Members must meet all eligibility requirements.

Virgin Mobile's Extended Warranty Plus Program covers eligible mobile phones after the end of the contract, for a period of 12 months. For all defects covered by the Extended Warranty Plus Program, Virgin Mobile will repair the phone (or, at our discretion, exchange for a refurbished phone).

The repaired/replacement phone will carry a warranty period equivalent to the greater of (i) the remainder of the Extended Warranty Plus period, or (ii) 90 days from when the phone was repaired/replacement (the "Repair Completion Date").

The Extended Warranty Plus does not cover defects or damage caused by:

  • Improper storage
  • Liquids
  • Unauthorized modification
  • Misuse
  • Neglect
  • Abuse
  • Accidents
  • Alteration
  • Improper installation
  • Abnormal operating conditions
  • Events outside of human control, such as natural disasters, for which no one can be help responsible
