Miranda Lambert rocking the Saddledome for the 2015 Virgin Mobile Stampede Concert Series

CALGARY (ALBERTA) December 4, 2014

The Calgary Stampede and Stampede Concerts Inc. arethrilled to announce Country Music Association's female vocalist of the year, Miranda Lambert will perform at the Calgary Stampede Thursday, July 9 during the 2015 Virgin Mobile Stampede Concert Series. Lambert performs on the Saddledome stage just one day before her country super-star husband Blake Shelton.

“Miranda Lambert is making country music history, says Adam Oppenheim, managing director, Stampede Concerts Inc. “She has won the CMA's female vocalist of the year five times in a row and is the first artist to ever start their career with five #1 albums. The Calgary Stampede is excited to provide fans with Miranda Lambert's only Alberta concert in 2015.

Lambert has been honoured at the Grammies, American Music Awards, Country Music Association Awards and the Academy of Country Music Awards. Her rise to the top has been full of number one hits and platinum records.

Tickets for the Miranda Lambert show, presented by Virgin Mobile and Country 105, go on sale to the public onFriday, December 12 at 10 a.m. (MST) and start at $49.50 (plus applicable fees). Tickets will be available at all Ticketmaster outlets, via phone at 1.855.985.5000and at XX.

Virgin Mobile will be offering its Members exclusive priority access to tickets for the show. Members can go to virginmobile.ca/benefits for details on the pre-sale, which runs from Tuesday, December 9 at 10 a.m. (MST) until Thursday, December 11 at 10 p.m. (MST) Calgary Stampede Insiders and Country Club members also have an opportunity to pre-purchase tickets from Wednesday December 10 at 10:00 a.m. (MST) until Thursday, December 11 at 10 p.m. (MST).
