Taio’s is a songwriting spark that inspired Dallas Austin to call him ‘the new Babyface’ and meant that, prior to his UK success, Cruz was working the original choice of singer for Rihanna’s ‘Umbrella’ when writer Tricky Stewart earmarked the track.
