HOW DO I CHANGE THE NAME ON MY ACCOUNT?
Let’s say you recently got married and you changed your legal name (congrats, by the way!). Or maybe you felt constrained by your birth name and have legally changed it to better express your inner child (hey, no judgements!)
Whatever the case, since your credit information stays the same, you remain legally responsible for your phone and account so we’ll need to update our records with your shiny new name.
Don’t worry, it’s super-easy, just follow the steps below.
To request a name change:
- You (the account holder) need to email your request and your Virgin Mobile account number to firstname.lastname@example.org
- Your email has to include legal documentation of your name change (except for spelling errors) like the following:
- Marriage certificate
- Divorce documents
- Legal name change document
- Birth certificate or driver's license
Good to Know!
We totally support your decision, so your name change is completely free.
If you want to transfer your phone number and contract to someone else who will accept legal responsibility for paying the bills (thanks, mom!), the process is a bit different. Check out: How do I transfer responsibility of my phone? for further details.
