How to Purchase and Use
Travel Data Passes.

Travel Data Passes let you get the most from your phone when you're out of the country. You can get 72-hour passes and 30-day passes. They allow you to use up to a fixed amount of data, without any data roaming charges, while you travel in the U.S. or internationally.

Good to know.

  • Without a roaming data add-on, you'll be unable to use data when travelling.
  • We'll send you a message to let you know when you're at 80% of your Travel Data Pass usage, and when you're almost at the end of your pass balance, so you can purchase a new pass if you like.

HOW TO PURCHASE A DATA TRAVEL PASS


My Account app

  1. Download and open the My Account app
  2. Tap on Travel & roaming 
  3. Enter your destination to view the different travel passes and purchase the one right for you

  1. Log into My Account at virginmobile.ca/addtravelpass
  2. Click on Roaming & Travel
  3. Enter your destination to view the different travel passes and purchase the one right for you

How to Use

Travel Data Pass (72 Hours)

  • Must be activated within 30 days from when you buy it.
  • Passes activate automatically as soon as you use the first kilobyte of roaming data after buying one.
  • Expire 72 hours from your date of activation.
  • Passes are stackable, so if you need lots of data you can purchase multiple passes before leaving and use them back-to-back continuously.

  • Expire 30 days from your date of activation.
