Eight more hot acts added to Virgin Festival Montréal!


18 stellar artists now ready to heat things up on Île-Ste-Héléne.

MONTREAL (Quebec) May 27, 2009

The buzz is getting louder for the first ever Virgin Festival Montréal.  The weekend is getting closer and today eight more sensational acts were added. It all goes down at Parc Jean-Drapeau – Île Ste-Héléne on Friday, June 19 and Saturday, June 20, 2009.

 

Joining the already sizzling line-up on day one are pop folk singer-songwriter CARLY RAE JEPSON, R&B poppers STEREOS and Juno Award-nominee R&B singer KREESHA TURNER.  On day two the new additions are all-male hip hop dance troupe JABBAWOCKEEZ, singer-songwriter JESSE MCCARTNEY, Juno and MMVA-nominated soul/fusion singer-songwriter KARL WOLF, Montréal-based rock singer-songwriter DAVID USHER and Mont-Royal singer JONATHAN ROY.

 

Artists already announced for day one of the inaugural Virgin Festival Montréal are headliners and Grammy Award-winning Black Eyed Peas, MMVA and Juno Award-winning Simple Plan, Canadian rockers Hedley, synth-pop specialists The New Cities and soul infusionist Eva Avila.  Already announced to take the stage on day two are legendary pop group New Kids On The Block, multi-platinum pop soul singer Akon, alt-rockers Live, up-and-coming electro singer/songwriter Lights and R&B songstress Divine Brown. Four more artists will round out the line-up and be announced very soon.
